No matter where you live in North Carolina, you should be able to get trusted information about birth control, find care that works for you, and get the method you want—at a clinic, pharmacy, or through telehealth.

BC4NC is working to make that easier.

WHAT IS BC4NC?

BC4NC is a new statewide effort to make birth control information and care easier to find and use.

We’re bringing together people and resources from across North Carolina to help you:

Learn about your options with clear, trusted information
Find care near you and know what services are available
Get help when you need it with things like cost, transportation, scheduling, or referrals
Connect to care in more ways, including clinics, pharmacies, and telehealth
Get care that respects you, your choices, and what matters to you

WHY BC4NC?

North Carolina already has great clinics, pharmacies, healthcare providers, community organizations, and programs working to improve birth control care.

The problem? They can be hard to find and navigate.

A teen may need private care but not know where to go. Someone may know exactly which birth control method they want but can’t find it nearby. Someone else may have insurance coverage but still not know where they can use it.

BC4NC will help connect the dots.

We’re bringing together trusted information, tools to help people think through their options, a statewide map of services, help navigating care, telehealth, and support for healthcare providers—all in one connected effort.

We don’t want to guess what people need. We want to hear it directly from you.

People from communities across North Carolina are helping us design BC4NC—from what information is most useful to what makes it hard to get care. Our team includes healthcare providers, pharmacists, researchers, public health experts, community partners, and technology experts. Our work is based at UNC, but BC4NC belongs to North Carolina.
